Scroll to the Business section (step 1 on this page) or click Start Creating above. Fill in your company name, street address, email, and phone number. These fields appear at the top-left of every invoice you generate.
Tip: Click the logo upload area to add your brand image (PNG or JPG). A square or horizontal logo up to 70px tall works best. Your logo is stored only in your browser and appears on both the live preview and the final PDF.
Continue to the Client section. Enter the person or company you are billing — their name, billing address, email, and phone. This block appears on the right side of the invoice under "Bill To."
Tip: Use the client's accounts-payable email if billing a company. Double-check the address if they require a physical copy or if your jurisdiction mandates it on tax invoices.
In the Items section, describe each product or service on a separate row. Click Add Item for additional rows. Toggle between Fixed (flat fee) and Hourly (rate × hours) using the type selector on each line.
Example: A web developer might add "Frontend development — 32 hrs @ $95/hr" as an hourly item, plus a fixed "Domain setup fee" of $150. Line totals and the invoice subtotal update instantly.
Open Settings to fine-tune the invoice. Set a unique invoice number (e.g., INV-2026-0042), the issue date, and a due date. Add your tax rate (%), an optional discount (%), and payment-processing fees if you pass Stripe or PayPal costs to clients.
Choose a currency from 23+ options, pick an accent color to match your brand, and write payment notes — bank details, "Net 30," late-fee policy, or a thank-you message.
Scroll to Preview to see a pixel-accurate rendering of your finished invoice. Every change you make above — a new line item, a tax adjustment, a logo swap — updates the preview immediately without reloading the page.
Verify the math, confirm client details, and check that your logo and accent color look right. This is your last chance to catch mistakes before sending the invoice to a client.
When everything looks correct, click Download as PDF in the navigation bar or the Download section. Your browser generates a print-ready PDF file named after your client — ready to attach to an email.
You can also Share a link that encodes the invoice data in the URL (useful for client review), Print directly, or Save to History with your email for quick reuse on this device. Click Start Fresh when you need a blank invoice for the next client.
